Citigate Dewe Rogerson Financial appoints new chairman

Citigate Dewe Rogerson Financial is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Berkeley as non-executive Chairman.

Michael first joined Citigate Dewe Rogerson in 2001, focusing principally on Investor Relations and Financial PR consultancy projects, particularly IPOs, cross-border M&A, shareholder activism and litigation support. Since October 2014, when Michael stepped back from day-to-day management, he has continued to provide consultancy services to certain clients and acted as an Advisor to the Board.

Prior to his work at CDR, Michael spent 15 years in investment banking, working in debt and equity capital markets and international corporate finance. He graduated in Classics from Cambridge University and has an MBA from SDA Bocconi in Milan. He is also a non-executive director of NEX Exchange, the London-based stock market focused on small and medium-sized growth companies, and is a director and trustee of Gatwick Detainees Welfare Group (GDWG).

Commenting on his appointment, Michael said: “Citigate Dewe Rogerson is a firm that punches well above its weight, thanks to its heritage and the fabulous talent of its people. I’m pleased to be rejoining the Board and look forward to working with CDR as we move to our next stage of growth.”

Simon Rigby, Joint Managing Director of Citigate Dewe Rogerson, commented, “We’re delighted to be welcoming Michael back to Citigate Dewe Rogerson, where his wide experience, advice and rigour will be a great asset to the business in the years ahead.”
