Citigate Dewe Rogerson Expands into Taipei

Citigate Dewe Rogerson (CDR), a leading global financial and corporate communications consultancy, is pleased to announce today that it has opened an office in Taipei and appointed media veteran Fanny Liu as market head. She will report to APAC Co-CEOs Jasmine Yap and Charlotte Bilney, both based in Hong Kong.

Fanny, Executive Director and Head of Taipei, will be responsible for building out the local team and supporting the firm’s local, regional and global clients in what is an increasingly important market for financial services.  She has over 20 years of experience in financial journalism, management and training, having worked at Dow Jones, Taiwan’s Central New Agency and Thomson Reuters where she played an instrumental role in setting up its Chinese language service for the region.

Jasmine Yap said, “This is an important step in supporting our very strong base of financial clients, who are looking for an effective and collaborative partner to increase their profile and reach clients in that market.  Having a compelling and consistent brand is crucial for their success and we want to provide an experienced and well-connected team to help them achieve that.”

This represents CDR’s fifth wholly owned office in Asia Pacific, following the firm’s pioneering push into the region three decades ago.  The Singapore office is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the Hong Kong office opened nearly 25 years ago, and CDR was one of the first global financial agencies to establish a presence in China with offices in Beijing in 2003 and Shanghai in 2007.

Charlotte Bilney said, “It is exciting to be expanding the CDR network with a presence in Taipei.  We have never been about placing flags in cities, it has to make sense for our clients and the focus of our business, and this definitely feels like the right time for Taipei.  We are delighted to have someone of Fanny’s caliber and spirit take up the role of building the business there, always with the support of our colleagues across the region.  Our one-team regional approach sets us apart both for our clients and our people, and we are confident this move will be a welcome addition to the network.”
